What's the model. Didn't see anything on the website. Doesn't really look like the quality of the 4wd buggies.

It was an RTR from back in the day. AFAIK, it's the only 4WD electric stadium truck. There may be other electric RTR-like trucks out there with 4WD, but that's the closest to hobby-grade I know of.

I got 2 of those HPIs off ebay because they just happen to come with the Mamba Max that I really wanted. I was going to sell them, but after getting them they're pretty awesome. I decided to keep them and they're built like tanks. I'm surprised no big companies are making one right now. Keep an eye on ebay and you may find another HPI. I have seen a few since then.

It's not just about the truck body. Cars and trucks each have there pro's and con's. I enjoy both, I just think having the ground clearance wider track width bigger tires etc... of the stadium truck with a nice 4wd would be awesome.

It all has to start somewhere.....

1/10 Electric Truggy anyone?

Gonna have to beef the buggies up to run as a Truggy, they break enough as it is

hate to say it but I think that the xxx-4 would be a great chassis/driveline to start with.put some truck arms, cvds, shocktowers, and wheels on it and just floor it!!!

I wonder how the belt drive would hold up with all the extra weight, and rotating mass to deal with?

really I think it would hold up better than a shaft drive /bevel gear drivetrain.especially once you worked the gear ratio out for the increased tire diameter.
