here is a good route to go:

crt.5 pro
rc-monster electric conversion (fullsize servo and ext wheelbase)
novak HV pro or better system
3s lipo
10th truck rims and tires
jato body
hb ls10 wing

i have built one for myself and my friend copied it and they run great, 3 diffs, sways and adjustable wing mount just like a truggy

Yeah, I've always wondered why we have 4wd rc buggies and no 4wd drive rc trucks. But in the fullsize world we have 4wd trucks and no 4wd buggies? I bought a used hpi MT and it was junk. It doesn't break because the parts are made out of bubblegum and flex like crazy. Its deffinetly NOT race grade. I like the CRT .5 with the electric conversion ( WITH A PLASTIC SPUR GEAR ) but there aren't enough around to make a racing class. A few manufactuers would have to come out with electric versions like the crt .5 or the kyosho DST ( http://www.kyoshoamerica.com/cars/in...part_num=31097 ) to get enough people to get a class going.
Of course you could get a Slayer but I don't know if it is race grade or if enough people will want to seriously race them.

By the way, I race my xx4 because I like 4wd and it is less outdated then the xxx4

crt.5's handle like doodie.

Truck classes aren't as popular. There is no need to thin out the 4wd class.

Do you have many (4WD buggies) at your local track? My track I intend on going to, stadium truck seems to be the most popular.....prob due to all the 1/8th buggies tearing up and rutting the track....

The larger truck tires seem to handle the ruts better....

yes a nitro crt.5 handle like crap because of the short wheelbase and lack of suspension travel. rthe rc-m ext conversion and the larger tires help with the lack of suspension travel and weight balance issues. also this would be the closest thing to a 1/10th electric truggy there is.

With the right mods the CRT .5 goes from a squirrely 1/12 to a decent 1/10 electric racer. Here's some video of mine at the local track.

Yea, i would say more 4wd's then trucks. but we don't run on a 1/8th scale track. I hate running 1/10th electric on a track the 1/8th scales are sharing.

I don't have a choice, so that's why Stadium truck will be my first class....then maybe 2WD Mod...and if I'm good, wife will get me a 4WD for X-mas

I think as a fun truck 4wd 10th scale truck would be cool. The issue I have about racing them is at the club level at many tracks you have too few drivers spread out over too many classes as it is already. IMHO it's boring to race against only a handfull of other drivers. If hobby-grade rc racing blew up in popularity then I could see adding more classes but as the way the situation stands now the last thing the R/C racing scene needs now is one more class to choose from.

this is why nitro is prevailing. It can attract the newcomers to a basher and the track can attract the race worthy car. 2wd li//bl truck & 1/8th buggy should be the 2 most popular classes since they are both so basher friendly and race worthy.

Default T4+B44= ???

how about a BJ4,B44 an a T4 type of 4wd truck. We would have a chassis and drive line. All we need will be front arms and a body .
