Going to build a Losi Diff...what do you recommend?
I have a Speed-T I am going to run off-road. I want to know what to order for the diff grease that works best, and where to get some good 3/32 Ceramic diff balls....I remember reading 1 place had 1$ a piece I think, but was not sure....

The Bfastrc diff is the best. Get the gen 1 pro drivers kit, AE black grease for the thrust assembly and AE silicone diff grease for the diff gear.

I suggest an Associated Diff Gear, Rings, Outdrives, thrust/diff balls, bearings and associated silicone/black grease...ok, maybe that wont work, but it will be a smooth diff

Y2K - Honestly, you can build a very good diff that lasts a reasonable life from the stock Losi parts. The Losi carbide balls work fine. The stock thrust assembly works good as long as you don't overtighten it and crush it during assembly. I've seen alot of people use the AE black grease on the thrust and the AE silicone diff lube on the balls. That works fine, although I've had alot of luck with the stock Losi grease as well.

i would recommend the losi thrust washer setup, losi part number was losi3098 a couple years ago. Lot easier than the thrust ball setup.

I've been using the losi carbide balls in my B4/B44 and they work good, smooth and last a long time. I've used ceramics in the past but they didn't work any better or worse than the carbides.
Normally for a rebuild I just replaced or flip the rings and slap some new balls in. The thrust assembly, at least on the AE cars, last a long time.

like what was said before, you can just use the same stock losi stuff with a little tlc and keep a good smooth diff.
the only things i've changed from when i got the kit two years ago is a traxxas ball assembly for in the outdrive and brass shims for the diff rings.
just make sure when you rebuild your diff you sand your rings good and smooth. you can either wet or dry sand them.
i usually use a medium grit emery paper to knock any burs off, then finish with 600 grit paper. super smooth diff action is a result.
but taking the bearings apart and thouroughly cleaning is a good idea as well
