lights on rc cars
does any body here have any expeirience putting lights (leds) on rc car boddies, and also, would the power from a 5000 mah 8.4 v be too much when its also runnin the car?
i really just need to know how u mount them also, would they get too hot if i put shoo goo on them? thanks |
They shouldn't get too hot for shoe goo, and your biggest concern should be voltage. If the lights are designed to handle 6-12 volts, you should be fine.

how many volts would be coming out of a reciever aux port then?
and if you run two leds, does that split the voltage coming from one power sorce |

I bought one of their 3300 kits (now #5004) with 2 white & 2 red LEDs. It comes with a small PCB which all 4 are soldered. I have one of their remote power switch (#5090) of which plugs into channel-3 on my Rx and allows you to turn the lights on/off from the Tx.

You also can look at the lights off a Losi Desert Truck....plugs into the Rx and has clear up front and red in the back.
