A gentleman next to me at a race last weekend had one and he was really happy with it. If my memory serves me correct he even said he jumped a truck with it.

His wife works for Venom so maybe he was blowing me hot air?

My Venom charger is great. I use it for NiMH and balancing my A123 cells.

I like the ability to monitor the charge parameters in a graph from the USB to PC outut.

About blowing a Lipo...you don't know if it was a bad lipo or a bad charger. This charger is sold under many other brand names and chassis colors. It's likely one of the most sold digital readout chargers of its type.

I have one, I like it and like the Ice better. Ice has over twice the power, but not the voltage spec for output.

More often than not when you spec out chargers the field will be so narrow the choice is made for you. Other than that you may be buying far more charger than you need.

3 things come to mind, features , specs and power. Different apps require different specs and power. Features may also be nice to play with.

From what i know, they are a repackaged charger from our friends in china. Very common model that is repackaged and sold for companies. This does not mean its a bad charger, i have not heard any bad feedback yet. If its a good price, give it a shot. I like the hyperions, bantam, ice, and a few others.

From what I can tell, the Venom Pro, RB FIVE's Turnigy Accucell-6, the Bantam BC-6 and the Core-RC charger all seem to have the same basic layout, four buttons, etc., suggesting they are basically the same charger, just with slightly different features.

Can anyone who's seen one or more of these chargers at the same time confirm?

I have two. As long as you don't need more than 5 amps, they're great.

Yes, they do, Bantam being the original. If awards were given for most copied charger out there, Bantam would be the king for sure.

The difference is that the Bantam's do not have the issues the "clones" have. Doesn't take much to search for Imax, RC Power, Turnigy, ect to find the issues. Typically you see posts acknowleding the problems, then with, but for $69.95, it is good enough.

When I fly, I have more than $1000 worth of lipos with me a the field. I would not risk them on "good enough". 1 lipo, 6S 5000 is about $275 each and I fly 10S configurations.
