Default Venom Pro ESC 120A & V540 BL Motor Combo

Has anyone been using this combo in their 2wd Stadium trucks? Keen to try it in mine and then maybe use the ESC later on in my Revo when I convert it to BL.

http://www.rchobbyexplosion.com/PRO_.../vn540-113.htm

Have not heard much about them, been searching the net for not much return. How do they compare for reliablity against Novak and Castle Creations?

Will the 120amp ESC be able to handle say a Fieago 8xl BL motor in a 1/8 scale application on a MT? I notice the MM is only 100 amp. Any comments?

Cheers Lab

Its really cool to be able to plug it in and change something in just a matter of seconds, rather than holding buttons, counting blinks and wondering if the change saved or if your changing the right thing.

It's hobbywing's esc. It's sold also under few famous brands such as Orion, Speed Passion, etc. You should ask any Speed Passion driver about them as well And Hobbywing is preparing special esc for 1/8 buggy/truck/whatever application.

They have just now been released... so I would expect review to start trickling in..

I like the system myself, I like how easy it is to program, the size, the fan wont break like all the others, the motors seem to have alot stronger magnets or less air gap they really thump over.

they are just like the Speed Passion stuff, which has already proven reliable.

So they are only new, they look the goods.
I was tossing up between the Venom system and Mamba 5700 combo and it looks like the Venom is pushing ahead of the Mamba. The only thing that concerns me is that the MM ESC is proven at the 1/8 scale, but the Venom ESC is rated at 20 amps more than MM. Will it do the job on a monster truck running something like a feiago 8xl motor like the MM would? Not sure if it will be reliable. Can anyone shed some light on it?

I doubt that combination has been ran before... I would email venom and get a confirmation from them.

Thanks, I'll email Venom and ask the question.
Intially though, I'll be running the combo in a Stadium Truck, that should smoke!
