Default 11.1V Lipo, MM5700 Slash is now ready.

Here are couple pics of my Slash with 3S Maxamp lipo, MM5700 setup.
Run it couple times and really pleased with the reliability and of course the speed..
Battery and ESC are just slightly warm at the end of 20 minutes runs, motor a bit more, but planning to install a fan in there anyway.
Setup on the Mamba software is set as:
-Low timing
-no drag brake
-Brake 45%
-Reverse 10%
-Punch control 60%
-Voltage cutoff 9.6v
-Gearing is 14/90
-Windshield cut off to allow air flow. Also rear part of the body cut much higher to allow warm air in the Battery/ESC area to disperse.

Driveshafts, diff and tranny all holding up very well so far. I still have to brake something on this truck.

Yes..that's a new body and wheels in the pic.
Old body and wheels/tires look like they have done the Baja1000 X2..
I love to roll this truck..

is it pretty fast with that 14/90 gearing? I bet it really smokes the tires on take off. that's sweet

Mad316, I have not done a speed check yet, i'll probably strap my GPS in it for a speed check next time I run it.
Yes, there is either a lot of wheel spin on dusty tarmac and concrete, or big wheelies if there is good grip.
Gotta say the Mamba software is pretty awesome..as it allows you to adjust and compensate where needed..I still have a bit too much lock up under braking, so I will turn another 10% of brake power down with the software next time.

Today I had the first issue with the truck..a leaking shock cap in the rear..still again the tranny and driveshafts took a lot of abuse without any issues..
Impressive for a $200 RC...

i would reverse the speed control or sheild those capacitors better. very easy to damage them if a stick comes under the body.. i put a dent in one of mine that way...and my esc was tucked right down in the esc location...i broke those tabs away to recess the esc lower.
also your front tyres are back to front.
have fun, dont let it get too hot though, my MM7700 only lasted 6 weeks

Without drag brake it must not turn at all? I remember my first day out a year ago with my MM I didn't put on drag brake and it didn't steer at all-granted on its first test I ran it in the street.

Also play with the brake curve, that's how I always prevent it from spinning out/locking up on my cars and it works well.
