I saw them running at the Clash. Very very fast. I believe Mayfield ran over a second faster with the RC8E that with the RC8.

I really like the idea of a brushless 8th scale but they sound terrible. You dont realize the abuse the gears take untill you remove the noise of the engine.

Electric 8th scale is only noisey when the stock steel spur gear is used. Replace it with a plastic Kyosho 46t spur gear and it is as quiet as a B44.
I ran this in my eRC8 for a whole season without any noticable wear on the plastic spur gear.

+1 . I wish AE had just made the spur gear in plastic. Heck, should be cheaper than the metals they included.
