LOL

Just because they are labeled onroad doesn`t mean you can`t run the offroad . People have run these "onroad " motors many times in offroad and always will . Only difference is that onroad motors have more torque . The 4.5 and 3.5 brushless are labeled for onroad as well , yet many run them offroad . Chris , I have a 7 turn that I put in my truck for when I want to run around in the yard and from when I built a huge track . But according to you I better hurry up and get an onroad car so I have place to put that "onroad" motor into .

I ran a 15x2 this winter in a B-4. Stock 81 spur gear in the buggy. I run at a small off-road track thinking is would be fast. I got my butt kicked. The 15x2 was a old school Reedy conquest brushed mod motor. I have alot of old motors that I have from the late 80's and early 90's.
I went and bought an Orion 13x1 brushed mod. I'm faster but, still not fast enough to qualify in the A-main. Those brushless motors are fast.
I also bought 9x2,11x1 and 11x2 brushed mod Orion's. Hopping my luck will change soon.
I bought a T-4 last month. I put the 11x2 in it. I didn't race the truck yet at the track. I hope this motor will work in the truck.

A faster motor isn`t going to qualify you for the A . Smooth and consistent driving does .

You may be off in your gearing. Is the motor getting hot? Brushed mods usually run pretty hot for best performance. Also check the timing and make certain it isn't dialed back for some reason. Are the brushes good or did some dirt get in them and damage them some?

How hot for a mod motor. I like to be around 150 for a temp. I keep my motors in good runnning order. after a Saturday night race. I take the motor apart and clean them. I put a drop of Trinity motor bearing oil on the bearings.
Check the brushes and replace when needed. I also turn the com after three races or when needed.
