Hey everyone I am sure most of you know by now that Albions rector's rc raceway has closed down. But it cant close down without 1 more big finale trophy race. Tim wolfe of www.action-hobby.com has ran the track for many many years. Well myself and a couple of guys have come up with a couple of ideas and we are going to meet at the track on sunday to discuss some of them, one being when to have it. What I really need from everyone that reads this is letting me know before sunday when some other big races are around the january febuary and march times that way we do not plan the race during another big race. We want this to be a blowout, albions races always have very stiff comp. But we would like to everyone to give us some info and maybe tell us if you would like come by starting a list. It is a very soft high traction clay, and an awesome facility for rc car racing. so please spam this across all the message boards for rc cars. Any question just send me a pm.

I've been going to Albion for some 20 years now, Would love to have one last big race there.

If you plan the race now. I think the only race you have to deal with in the region is the CRCRC race in january. I would say do it on a holiday weekend, if there is one avaliable. I will be there. I would see if you can get it to be the region 5 race for next year or the Illinois state race.

Crcrc's race in Jan and Leisure hours chitown shootout in march.

I was really hoping for thanksgiving weekend just like the state race last year. A lot of people have a 4 day weekend. If so I would be down for fri sat and sun. A date with a holiday weekend would be ideal. Too many big races are still starting races early on sat and you have to be there a day early to have any practice, which requires time off work or school for most. I can think of 3 or 4 races coming up I'm going to miss because they start early on sat 9 or 10am. I cant think of anything going on in Nov. anyway.

I will for sure miss Albion, lots of good times. If I have to miss this race I will be truly pissed.

If your going to have a final race, needs to be the standard second weekend in Nov for a final IL state race. Thats the biggest race that track has ever had and everyone has always attended that date. I know of at least 7 guys that would attend that date.
