Default OCRC Raceway Driving School

Hey gang,

We've been advertising this at the track but I wanted to throw it up here on RCtech as well. OCRC Raceway is holding a 10 week driving school beginning next Monday. Classes are every Monday from 4-6pm and will run through January.

If you have any friends that have wanted to get into R/C but are frightened by the startup costs this is the class for them. Team Associated has donated RTR T4 trucks and batteries for those participants that don't own an electric off-road vehicle; and classes are only $10 per week!

So if you'd like to improve your driving, wrenching, and r/c history knowledge shoot me a pm or give us a call at 714-892-6699 and sign up.

Entries are limited so sign up soon!

Man, this is a great idea, one that I think more tracks should adopt...if I was a local to OCRC, I'd be all over it. Especially for some professional insight into setup/maintenance, etc...

What a great idea!! Seriously, someone should have thought of this sooner. We've got driving schools (alot) for full-size cars/racing, why not the same thing for RC cars? I hope it turns out well and catches on at other tracks.

To the top. If any of you guys have friends that you've wanted to get into the hobby make sure you hook them up. A car for $10 a class combined with the banter between myself and Robert is such a steal.

I think this is Fezz right....... I think this is a great idea and I would be interested in this type of school for sportsman / Mod levels?

Everyone gets into bad habbits when driving and racing. Just an idea.

Hey Josh,

This is Jeremy. I totally agree with you, and we will be creating different levels of the school as we progress. We plan on running 5-10 week schools year round and we will work this into the program in the future.

This first school starts to hit on more advanced subjects toward the 4-5 week mark, and everyone is welcome to join in the class at any time they'd like. I'll post the week by week curriculum on the wall so that everyone can check it out.

Very cool! Get someone to video the instructional part of the classes and sell it on DVD. I'll take one. I heard the final exam is a backflip!

This is really a great idea. I hope it brings some new faces to the track (the old ones are pretty ugly ) Good on AE for donating some T4's too!
