So far R/C Car Action has been the best that I have seen.

I like R/C Car and Xtreme RC the best of all of the mags I've read. If you're going with just one, I'd make it R/C Car - but at $20 subs, why not get both

I collect 5 different subscriptions to have as Reference..... All 4 U.S. publications as well as the top R/C British publication. Every now and then I get lucky and get a few issues from Australia too. Overall I would give the nod to Derek and the guys at Xtreme RC Cars as well...

I have Zinio digital subscriptions of RC-Driver and Xtreme-RC and buy the odd RCCarAction or RCDriver. The digital subscriptions aren't the best to read on the toilet or the bus unless you take your laptop with you but you can print out the interesting articles for reference (I keep them in a binder).

By the time they hit the newstands the latest car they're reviewing has been on the hobby shop shelves for months.
It's almost comical that their lagtime is so much.

Most monthly print magazines have a lead time of a couple months, so if they are only able to get the car once it hits retail, it's understandable. I'm more interested in the quality of the content.
