Max Amps Lipo vs Trak Power

Max Amps Lipo vs Trak Power
I've used the TrakPower (Gold Brick) lipo batteries in both a touring car and a B44 with good success. I was considering MaxAmps batteries for the new higher C rating.
Anyone with experience (good or bad) on eithe Lipo battery?
Thanks!

I own 4 of them and have had 0 problems and I really abuse them. I use them in both in my 10th scale touring car and 4WD offroad. For a short period, I also ran them in series with my 8th scale brushless truggy. Easily the best battery packs I ever had.
Edit: The most recent Trakpower I bought a few months back is rated at 25C so you should have plenty of punch.

+1 Never had a problem with any of my packs.
Read up on the C ratings to see if you really need a high rated pack for your application. I think the original Orion 4800 Platinum packs were only 15C and arguably the most popular lipo pack out there.

The maxamps are good, but the recent price jump make them less of a value. I like the 8000mah ones for my stadium truck, but I believe that the trackpowers and all enerland based (flightpowers, polyrc, polyquest and thunderpower) are a better value in that they are a better battery(best so far as i can tell). They hold a balance better and seem to last longer.

My only gripe with MaxAmps and batteries using external wires is that I've had to jam them into the battery tray. I use my MaxAmps for bashing in my Ruslter and in my 18T. In other words, I'm partial to the bananna plugs as long as I don't cross wire the ESC (done that ). I'm using the TrakPower 4900 in my racing truck.

both are good options but my customers have given me a lot of positive feedback on trakpower.

Trakpower = Enerland XP Cells (Aka Polyquest XP/ Flightpower Evo25)
Stick with them or even better. Get the 30C hardcase XQ under polyquest brand.

TrakPower here as well.
They are a much better pack.
The SMC packs are also very strong as well.

Not sure on which vehicle your using;
Ellite 4500 from cheapbatterypacks.com $68 with a 30C fits perfectly in the Losi xxx-t cr. Best power delivering pack I've seen. No comment on longevity, but I'm on 9 months at racing twice a week.

30C, 9 months ago? wow because none of the other manufacturers with great reputations had a 30C out at that time. hmmm.

Before this thread gets off-topic and into a C rating debate please allow me to reiterate:
"Read up on the C ratings to see if you really need a high rated pack for your application. I think the original Orion 4800 Platinum packs were only 15C and arguably the most popular lipo pack out there."
No doubt the higher the better but I wouldnt buy a pack just because it has a higher rating, having said that my application is 1/10th scale offroad. I'd rather have a pack made with quality, problem free cells than big C rating...obviously having both would be ideal
