Default I cant belive I don't know this

I cant belive I don't know this and I'm asking it what size of set screws are used in pinions? I buoght a bunch of pinions from another rct member and the set screws that I have(IDK what size they are) only fit some of the gears, the others, it threads halfway in and stops.

the only thing that I can think of is that some are 48p and some are metric instead of standard?

if they are diffrent will I knowtice any problems if I use them in my stampede?

Should be 5-40 for the imperial threaded pinions and 3x3mm for the metric threaded pinions. robinsons and i believe the losi pinions are 5-40. basically if you can fit a 1/16th allen wrench snugly in the set screw it is 5-40 if a 1.5mm allen driver fits snugly then it should be the 3x3mm.

If they use a 1/16th allen, then they are 5-40 set screws... Most 48pitch changed to this some time ago.. years ago only the Losi pinions where 5-40 and Robinson used 4-40 with a .050 allen...

Back in the day... the metric used 1.5mm wrench... not sure of the screw size though..
