hello, I have a kyosho kanai II with this configuration.
esc: mamba max
Batteries: 6600 mha 3s lipo
gears: 13/46, 13/48, 15/46, 15/48
motor: I don`t have, but I want a neu motor, I thought in neu 1509/2D (3300kv) using it with 3s. Is it good choice?
weight: - nitro 1/8tt buggy

Sorry for my English

Better to use 4S and a 1512.

There is a whole thread on this:

But I have a 3s lipo, and now I buy the neu motor, my budget is for the neu motor.
Another option is buy Align 600l(1650kv) and use with 25/46 gear.
but the neu 1509/2D is good option for a buggy on 3s, the motor won`t broke no?

1509 is more suited for 1/10 scale. You will want a 1512

ok, I see the Align 600L, is 1620kv, 600sice motor, 65A MAX, whit 3s and gear 25/46 the speed is 40mph whit 11,1v or 25/48.
Is the Mamba Max Sufficient?? Is the Align sufficient for 3s buggy?
Regards

note: The align motor is normally used in helicopters, how t-rex 600 whit 6s pack.

I would stay away from the 600l motor.

For 3s, I would recommend a 1512 1y or 1512 2d

I think you will be ok with that setup, and it's a low-cost way to go for now... but it's possible the little 50mm Medusa will run hot. Keep the buggy as light as possible. (how big are the 3s packs you have?)

2200kv won't be super fast on 3s... but it will run pretty good with a taller gear. Try a 16t pinion.

The Align motor has mixed reviews. Some have said it's ok, but others say it's no better than a generic Feigao. It runs hot and it's not very efficient, compared to stuff like Neu, Medusa, Lehner, etc. I would stick with a Medusa or Neu (1509 would also be a good choice to save a few $$)
