just picked up an RS Pro for my B44, should be here tommorow. Just wondering if there is any special technique everyone is using to solder the motor and battery wires to the posts? I had help soldering when installing my RS in my B4 but im not thrilled with how it turned out. Are you guys soldering the wires perpendicular or parallel to the posts? Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Philly: Run Dual mode, timing advance at 60 to start out.

Below is a good 10.5 setup to start:

Personally I run the wires on top of the posts layed down. I have my RS PRo in my BJ4 posts facing inwards(to look pretty) and facing the motor. Then I will position the - and + straight up so they can meet the saddle pack Lipos I use with ease.

Randy,

Do you have the 3 motor wires run under or over the top plate?

Is anyone else using a 537 in a B44? Keen to see how they are gearing. I don;t have access to a temp gun, so am using the force at present!

Hey Randy,

Im running a RS Pro/13.5 Combo in my B44. Motor timing is at 20 with boost at 10. Im geared 75/31 and coming off the track after about 7 min never hotter than 150 degrees. Does this all sound good to you. Any changes you think i should make? Thanks for any help.

Hey Randy,

Running a 17.5 in a T4. The rotor seems to be a 12.25 rotor. Is there much to gain by running a 12.5 rotor or is it better to stay with the 12.25? I know you make larger but ROAR spec class reads no larger than 12.5 rotors. Just looking for an over all idea on what to go with.

Has anyone played around with a 3S lipo on their RS??? I have a Traxxas Slash as a basher and was wondering if my RS would handle a 4000kv motor on 3S.
Also thinking i could buy a Tekin RX8 ESC instead but dont wanna spend the dollars.

Those look like the SMC saddle packs. Tekin has no saddles.
