Default KO FET choke lead???

ga day!

I have read some of your threads regarding connecting the servo choke to a speedo without a choke, but wanted to check before i do connect it.
I have a very old but great 1001, dont want to replace it!
My new LRP sphere speedo has no blue lead, so i guess i have to solder the wire to my speedo. Can i do this directly to the speedo tab which the red wire comes from? There is NO resistor currently on the blue choke lead, will i need one now?
Thanks in advance!!!

Yes, anywhere along the battery+ wire will do.

Recommended. The chole is a specific component, not just any old resistor, should be available still from KO dealers, I got one in the UK about a year ago and it cost something silly like 1.50.
