Default shocks question

alright my slash's shock came loose and ended up spilling out all the shock oil and i lost my seal. i fix it change my shock oil (changed to 40) and than it popped off again at pegasus. i fixed it and relubed it went back the next day and it happened twice, but i didnt waste my lube. will getting the aluminum shock cap fix my problem? and my slash sits kinda low in the rear, im using one big spacer and one small in the back and the medium or big in the front(cant remember right now) but should i add more to the rear, can i get better shocks or springs because i dont want it bottoming out so much. also is there anything else thats necessary to upgrade to aluminum.

i found that getting aluminum shock towers will help that problem, i also read that these items are also necessary. caster blocks, bulkhead, and hub carriers.

will these help my slash from getting dominated on the track, and off. also whats your opinion on motor covers and skid plates.

Use some teflon tape, that will help keep the alum cap from popping off. Once shock body has lost a cap, its easier to lose them as the threads on the shock are a little deformed. New alum cap and some teflon tape should fix it.

Make sure you're not using shock fluid thats too heavy. Check what others that are not having shock problems are running.
