ROAR Classified the 13.5,10.5, and the 19t as the Super Stock class for this year. I am not sure what they are doing for next year. Most places still consider the 13.5 as the stock 27t equivalent.

I am not going to go into it much but with a 13.5 geared correctly it will run pretty close to a good 19t motor.

This isn't a ROAR race and I'm 99.99999% sure that 13.5 is stock for this race.

I get that.

I would just say do what a couple of the big races out west do and limit the stock and superstock classes to non sponsored racers. When I say non sponsored races I am talking about the big names like tebo, cav, truhe, drake, etc. you get the point. I am sure that there will be some other sponsored drivers running the superstock but I really do not see many of them running the stock spec 17.5 class.

so it sounds like slash and 8th scale are out.

so what are we looking at then?

2wd truck 13.5/27t
2wd buggy 13.5/27t
2wd truck mod
2wd buggy mod
4wd buggy 10.5/19t
4wd buggy mod

??

or will there be 3 truck classes? outlaw truck? think how much fun a 4wd 10.5 "outlaw" class would be with 20 minute mains

+1, I don't know how the turn out will be. Since most electric 1/8th guys also run 1/10th electric.

This is a little off-topic but since this isn't a ROAR race, I'm assuming the Castle Creations ESCs and motors are ok to run, right?

It's my understanding that Electric 1/8th will be able to run during the Nitro race weekend.
That's a shame. Guess I won't be attending afterall. Not interested in dealing with the noise and fumes of the smokers. One of the main reasons I went electric in the first place. Ah well, maybe next year.

The following classes are set.

Stock Buggy 13.5/27t
Stock Truck 13.5/27t
Mod 4wd Buggy
Mod 2wd Buggy
Mod Truck

We're leaning towards offering Outlaw Truck again.

Taper pins will still be the tire of choice.

I'm not sure when we will open sign ups, but it will be posted here for sure.
