Hands down the RC10B4 for buggy. The best would be RC10T4. But some would say I'm a little biased towards AE, which is incidentally, my favorite RC company...

But I'm going to throw a wrench into my arguement. I've won more races with my LOSI LXT then my AE RC10CE back in the days.

In all honesty, you can't go wrong with either a XXX-CR or a RC10B4 for a buggy, they are both equally awesome.

You can't go wrong with either a XXXT-CR or a RC10T4, they are both equally good.

If you want to be daring, you can try some of the newcomers, the Academy GV2 and Kyosho's RB5... I think HPI is going to release their D2 soon, which has a really aggressive battery placement. Lower COG then any of the buggies out there right now...

Are we talking about Buggy/Truck's currently in the market?

I would say one of the two:
- RC10 gold pan, because it revolutionised RC car racing
- Taliya Hotshot, because it was a fully functional off road RC car that could be driven by anyone.

Currently on the market? I don't think there can be a "period" look at all of the arguements on here between the AE and Losi fans! (Sorry Kyosho boys, I know you are trying really hard).

i think that's a common misconception. the d4 is the only copy with the b44 the next gen version.

other similar cars share design features seen on other cars first, eg the saddle pack layout on the xx4.

Tamiya 501x - it does not even know the meaning of the word "break", and it is easy on the eyes

Man, I gotta say the AE family of T4/ B4 etc.

I enjoy driving Losi MF2 when I have time, but my heart is with Associated.

The ultimate buggy, and Truck. Haters can start hateing now. Watch the video. Oh just so you know its a Slash... Moded by The Jang... name BackSlash.... My vote is for the Slash. As shown here it can be a CORR truck, a 1/8th scale RWD buggy, and an extended Pede style Monster with just a change of wheels tires and a body....

Though I did not see anything in his original post about drivetrain (4wd/2wd), I would have to go with T4/B4. 4wd - Tamiya 501x, durability is the one factor changed the least by personal opinion.
