there is a virus in one of the downloads
I think it is the instructions for the set up
make sure you scan it first with a virus scanner
Losi can you fix this before we spread this virus around

My PC identified 3 of the components as a virus, and wouldn't let me install. So I tried it on an older PC with minimal virus protection, and it worked like a charm.
If you have an older machine laying around with XP on it, use that.
I'm headed to the track right now to try out the new firmware. I'll report back what I find.

Do you run this setup?
I ran the setup I mentioned above, the rear is too firm with the 35wt and black springs. Front felt ok, car drove ok too. Landed the jumps much smoother but the rear danced around on the landings, too much pack I'm thinkin.
Not sure if I want to go to a smaller piston and the heavier oil up front but the 30wt with the stock piston sounds good for out back.. Think I'll also go back to the green rear spring and silver front.

I ran that setup with silver springs front and green springs in back. The track had some pretty big jumps and the setup was awesome. I just went down on my oils for the colder months and to soften it up because of the new track design, but If you are running 4 cell, that piston setup and oil setup works awesome for big jumps and a mild climate.

rocketron
yes there were 3 viruses found
I did not write them down but I removed it from my computer and yes the virus software was running when I was installing it

Please refer to the Manual for installation along with the Upgrade instructions. There it is mentioned to disable your AV program prior to the install. The 3 drivers that may trigger your AV program will prevent the USB portion of the Xcelorin setup software to function - the ESC will not connect.

I was able to get everything downloaded and installed in the buggy. I then of course had to try it out.
I have a small practice track behind my house which is too small for anything this fast but I figured I could get the idea of the new firmware.....
WOW! Huge improvement in the braking department.
This thing actually drives like a race vehicle now. I have much more confidence in my ability to control the vehicle in the air now. If you apply a little brake that is just what you get. If you apply full brake...you get full brake. I can't wait to get it on a big track where I can really try it out on some big jumps. We are heading back down to the Badlands in Myrtle Beach,SC next weekend and I am really amped on the opportunity to run this thing on that track. Thanks for you willingness and effort to improve this Losi.

The instructions specifically say that 165-180F is the maximum operating temp. I think this is too hot, so I generally gear and heat sink mine for under 140.
I installed the new firmware, and without making any other changes, I headed out to the track. First thing I noticed, not enough brakes. So I turned my EPA back up to about 85%, and now I'm happy with it again. I also noticed, MINIMAL COGGING! It's almost completely gone. Overall, I'm impressed. It's def worth downloading and installing. If your brakes were too touchy before, the new setup is far lighter.
