Nice buggy! I'm no expert but it really depends on what size battery you are going to run. I currently run Tekin 1900 on 4s and it is great. That seems to be really popular. A bunch of guys at my track run Tekin 2050 on 4s though.

if your buddy's Green To Electrics. His First big mistake is talking to MA.

3S is far from the best set-up. It lacks Low end Grunt due to the sheer voltage drop. Granted I only had the opportunity to drive a 3S setup Once....>BUT It felt Gutless compared to my 4S..

I like Tekin! They seem to have great customer support. A lot of info here on the forums. Mamba stuff maybe good but I am happy with my Tekin!

4S on 1700kv to 1900kv is the ticket. 1700kv for the smaller tracks.

+1

1900kv on 4S is by far the most popular setup in 1/8 e buggy with 2050kv/4S being probably the second most popular.

The mamba motor is unsensored which isn't as popular for buggy as a sensored setup is. The sensored motors are a tad smoother in low rpms and seem to be more drivable. Just make sure you pick up a sensored esc if you plan to run a sensored motor.

I know a lot of people run the tekno chassis has anyone tried the bce chassis? I'm thinking about giving that chassis a try, does anyone have any feedback? As for the 2650 combo I have that and I want the 1900,lol. I wish I knew more at the time when I bought my t8 but oh we'll.

I use the BCE and love it! Bill makes great stuff--order one today. Lemme know if you want to sell the 2650Kv motor as I am building an on-road 8th.
