Thanks for the info. If 5600 mah can go 15 mins, then 3800 mah should make 10 mins, but it would be cutting it very close. I'm thinking about putting two 2S 3800 mah together to use on the 8ight, but it looks like it'll only be good enough for a practice/qualifier pack.

Default My first 1/8 scale!

So I am running an SCTE and want to get involved with the 1/8 scale fun. Give me the down and dirty low down on what I will need at minimum to get started....

My list so far:
1-The buggy itself
2-ESC and motor (Tekin RX8 and Tekin 1900KV)
3-Receiver
4-Batteries- 4S right?

What else? What tires would be a good start for outdoor clay? What servo would you guys recommend?

i would say, cause no one answered ur question, but i would say a soft compound tire, tread will depend on the surface, hard pack would a small pin tread, loose or loamy, silghtly larger pin tire,
compound i use like soft to super soft aka
m3 or m4 proline
blue or green j concepts

i am thinking about trading for a losi 8ight 2.0 e buggy. when i get electronics for it i know i will get a speed passion gt2.0 pro esc for it because i run speed passion in both of my sc10 2wd and 4wd i really like the speed passion alot. i think it is a very good deal for what you get for the price you pay.

I ran the 44 spur all night!!!! Quicker on the bottom
70% on the current limiter is the trick.

You'll love the 8ight 2.0e, great to drive.

I've never thought of using a SP GT2 pro in a 1/8 buggy, I thought they were only for 1/10? I have the sp cirtix and gt2 in a few of my cars.

That would be my suggestion as that's what I have in mine and it flys That SCT Pro sounds pretty good, too esp the price.

Good deal--glad to hear you like! Aside from keeping the plastic spur were your laps times faster or were you faster than some of your budies?

The SP GT2.0 Pro is not rated for that 4S usage which on a 1900Kv motor you would want. You would want the Silver Arrow V2 ESC they sell.
