Posted this on the weight thread the other day.. tekno 8ight 1.5. I've made no real attempt to loose weight (including cleaning it LOL) other than the carbon shock towers. I was going to go crazy with it but just backed off and ran it. Lipo's for this year are about 580grams too.. 6s 3100 hardshells so I can run full races (20min) w/ the nitro's. Could easily loose weight for 10min races if needed with smaller packs.

because the ones that come with the HD cases are heavy , idk the exact material its some kind of metal. This rotating mass hurts efficiency of your system and will cause your motor to heat up.
The DE inserts are some kind of plastic. these will save a bunch of weight and save your cases. When they wear just put new inserts in : )

2 .25 shims and 1 .10 on the left bearings insert, then 3 .10 on the right side.

I know weight is a killer!!!!! Have any of u guys tryed cut the lipo tray in the buggy, I was bored one night, and I cut shapes out of my box to be different, I don't know what I am losing in weight but I was careful not to cut alot around the screw holes. I would show u guys but I don't know how to post pics on here. I see places where I can cut some more out and maybe lower the battery tray some more??? It could help give the car more flex also cause the tray is pretty stiff!!!. Something else we could cut is the rock guards, cutthem down an1/8-1/4 of and inch, just a little????? I don't know of anything else I would cut on the would not hurt the durability of the buggy.

Low weight == more $$.
Titanium bits
Aluminum cross pins
Aluminum F/R out drives
Aluminum CVD axles
Carbon Fiber shock towers
DE Racing inserts (HD diff only)
BCE chassis
Run plastic everywhere you can also. Some people stated they run aluminum rear hubs. Plastic are lighter and hold up just fine in my experience. Also, if you use the aluminum chassis braces--ditch them. Hard case batteries are also quite heavy.

I think the front silvers are 4.4 and the rear greens are 3.1...... But you may want to do what I did. I carefully stretched them out equally to 2.75" in front and 3.5" long in the rear. Was able to reduce pre-load collars almost to the top of the body........ Working great for me....... :-D

I found them and I think this should be on the first page with all other information.
front springs
Green 2.3 x 4.7
Black 2.3 x 5.0
Red 2.3 x 4.1
Rear
Silver 3.1 x 2.8
Red 3.1 x 2.5
Black 3.1 x 3.4
Great Idea on stretching the springs but ?? can you do that and make them the same or is it a guessing game ? Thanks

Just take your time........ Sneek up on the length you need. Trial fit and test....... Working great for me....... And as far as I can tell they are still the same rate...... Just less progressive. Feel smoother to me ;-)
