2 questions
What weight diff oil is everyone running?
And is there an easy way to get the sun gear off the shaft I am converting my race roller into electric and when I took a quick look at the gear I did not see any easy way to take it off do I just pull on it or is there a pin somewhere I have to take off

Sun gear ? Please explain the part your trying to remove and where its located. Im pretty sure you have some terminology a little wrong.

I am trying to change out the pinon from the nitro size to the electric size and there is a gear on the inside of it that has to be removed I figured it would be a sun gear
#6544

The larger of these gear's would be a "Sun gear". The smaller gear's are called "Spyder gears" Your going to have to look at your manual and figure out the parts your trying to describe.

There isn't anything Holding it per say but the pin on the backside is "keying" it into place. The oil is what is making it difficult to remove, Just grab it with a little force But make sure not to Slip the pliers off or you can damage the teeth.

comming from a nitro truggy of all my racing experience, i hate the "twitchyness" of an electric buggy. so i opt to run 5k/5k/5k in mine to have more understeer. just finish testing the setup, and i kind of like it. works with 55/35wt front shocks and 56/25wt rear shocks.
what setup does the rest of yous running? mainly shock piston/oil and diff oil.

anyone have any input on the tekno v4 conversion kit. Looking to convert my last nitro to e powerand was thinking this is a pretty cheap way to do it and maybe set it up as a real e power set up vs a converted gas set up. I really like the in line driveline idea vs the high angle front that eats up the d-bones on the stock 8ight set up. Anyone have a set ups for indoor ocrc type track for this kit
Thanks

Hi Mate
i think most people are running the Adam Drake set up and just playing with shock oils for electric side of things thats about all
apart from that his set up will be in the ball park of where you need to be
as for conversion kits there is a few out there all have pros and cons
