Hi guys,
I'm pretty new to 1/8 scale and I just put together an 8ight with MMM/2200kv combo with a 4S battery. I did a 12 minute main last night and came off the track with a motor temp of 209! I have it geared at 16/45 and I was running only 80% on the throttle EPA (We are running on the 1/10 sized track until they rebuild the 1/8 scale track). I understand these motors can handle heat better than 1/10 scale stuff but I think 209 is a bit excessive. Am I way off with my gearing or are there other tricks to getting my temps down?

Well after 3 weeks finally finished the front diff busting up lol. So main car is down for 10 minute fix of glue and screwing back in the mount .
Also finished building my shelf queen, have about 3 more aluminum parts coming then have to decide whether to Keep it and transfer electronics to it, park it on my work desk, or sell it
