I'm running the losi motor mount into a Hobbywing 2250KV motor.
The engine has 3mm screws and the Losi motor mount I think is built for 4mm screws. Is there some kind of shaft filler you can put on teh 3mm screws to that the motor mount does not float around the screw?
Mine is always coming loose, and I'm sure this is the issue.

Ok im a nitro guy and im converting one of my nitro losi 8ight 2.0 buggy into electric. I order the losi electric conversion and Castle Creations Mamba Monster 1/8th Scale Brushless (2200kV). What gearing set up are you guys running and what lipo battery? Im looking to be fast like my nitro cars. Im runnning on loose, dry dirt.

why do you not ask first!
The castle battery trays are crap, s you wasted your money on that conversion.
That 2200 is like putting a .28 in your buggy....
I would say sell the motor, and buy a Tekin 1400kv motor, or a 1700kv motor.
If you get the 1400kv, buy a 6s lipo. Depending on your main lengths, you could get anywhere from a 2000mah 6s to a 3600mah 6s.
If you get the Tekin 1700kv buggy motor, get a 4s, probably 5000mah, maybe a little more. How long are your mains going to be?

Well, the castle conversion sucks. The losi is great, I use it.
I really don't think you can make a 30-45 minute main without frying the motor or esc. 20 minutes is pushing it...
You could do a battery change, but the heat is still an issue... You would have to undergear a lot. Definitely go for a 6s setup with the 1400kv motor so your esc and battery are cool, but my after about 17 minutes my motor is 170 F.
I have lots of vents in the body, lowest ESC settings, and I'm gear 14/45. This is a pretty efficient setup at that...

2200KV * 14.4V = 31680 RPMS
1400KV * 22.2V = 31080 RPMS
As you can see they are almost the same RPMS

As You will also notice the ESC will run 20+ degree hotter with that setup, and the battery will run warmer as well. They may have similar rpms, but the 6s setup is more efficient and the ESC/battery will run much cooler, which if he is going to run it for a long period of time, is a must.

Im looking to run it 10 to 15min if that ok to run these motor. I havent gotten the Castle Creations Mamba Monster 1/8th Scale Brushless (2200kV) and i already feel
because i might of bought the wrong set up. I really dont wanna go crazy trading it or selling it. Im going to hear from others and see what they say about what setting are good for this Combo. I dont want to go out there and fry the motor or battery. Anyone else has other set up using this combo?

You will just need too watch temps and gear accordingly. You may find that you will have to dial back your EPA as well and may find it difficult to run a 15-min w/o a slightly larger mAh battery. Plenty of people do use this combo so would not worry too much.

IF its NIP, Castle will trade it for what you want.

I ended building the screw up by using shrink tubing.. But it's not a great solution.
