Integra thanks those are the same shims as are used in the rear diff arent they? So all I need to do is place an appropriate number of shims to give clearance over the bearing up against its flange and then insert the bearing into the metal motor mount.

Does anyone have a link to the 8e manual as I am still interested in viewing that for differences in set up i.e oil wt's springs etc.

Regards

Mark

Default Mamba Monster Cogging?

Hi, shimmed the centre diff, seemed to work really well with no fore and aft movement, and clearance between the motor mount and the spur gear. Still waiting for my batteries to turn up Turnigy 4s 1p 4500mah 30c hardcased packs, so to check the setup of my car (Mamba Monster, 2200kv Motor, 16t pinion 45t plastic spur, Futaba R603FS Receiver, Savox 1256 Servo, Spektrum Capacitor) I temporarily hooked up a 3s 1p 2500mah 20c battery with 4mm connectors. When trying to move the car off gently, the motor appeared to be oscilating back and forth but not turning (I assume this is cogging?) it did this both forwards and backwards.

How can I stop this or will it stop when I attach my new 4500 4s battery as it can supply greater power, what settings should I programme into the esc with the castle link?, Should I reduce the gearing with the 15t pinion and finally how do I know if my esc is a V3? I have only just brought it?

Thanks in advance. I have been working my way through this thread but its massive.

Regards

Mark

Do you run the inclined spindles? I have the 10* version and understand these were designed to work with the "LCG" plates. I will search the Losi site for any setups using them yet. Thanks!!!

No Inclined or anything, I would PM Fisher or Peck and see what they have to recommend with the new plates.

Sounds good! I am just doing a little research on these right now. Since I live in CO we will not be racing 8th scale until March or later . . .

I have heard no plans to replace the 8ight 2.0 line. TLR is working hard on the electric buggy right now.

The LRC blocks work great. Basically they lower the rear pivot in the rear. The Original adjustable pivots raised the rear pivot and these new ones return it to the original height which most like better.

The inclined spindles have little to do with the LRC pivots. The Inclined spindles really help the car with center and exit steering. They are expensive but I do recommend them.

Awesome, thanks for your input as always! I am a bit confused by saying TLR is working on the electric buggy right now. Do you mean on setups for the 8ight-E 2.0 or an updated version of the buggy?

I will look into the LRC pivots a little more. I really like the inclined spindles overall--they really hold in the corners but I do have to make sure my toe-out was just right so it was not too twitchy for my preference.

Default TRX Mamba Monster esc mount fitting

I have seen mention of this mounting bracket being used, but could not find photo's of it actually fitted in cars. Please post pictures or direct me to a page or thread where I can see the mount installed and the orientation in the chassis so it does not clash with the 8e body. Thanks.
