Heres what I got, a 8ight-E 2.0 with these features.
Tekin RX8 Speed Control with Tekin 1900kv motor
-Futaba 2.4ghz tp3k & receiver
-Ace DS1015 steering servo
-(2) 4 cell lips and (1) 5 cell lipo
-factory team alumunum chassis and shock towers
-titanium nitride shock shafts
-the foams in the tires are proline evo2 foams
- DYN4064 Dynamite Passport Ultra Lipo/Life/Pb/Li-Ion AC/DC Battery Charger/Cycler
ANything else I need?
I know a little bit about cars from being an avid drag racer on the 1:1 scale but I was never what I considered truly fast (Built a car to run high 11's, when I get back into it, Ill be shooting for 10's using a Toyota MR2 Turbo). I am familiar with camber settings in that negative camber can be good for cornering and too much positive camber is horrible, but am not familiar with ride height, and shock "droop" as it would apply to offroad vehicles or buggys on a dirt track with lots of ramps, bumps and jumps. Are their tools that can help me in adjusting this stuff that I might need to purchase that might help me on raceday?
I hope to break out of 1/8 sportsman class and Ill need all the help I can get since Im racing against a pack of nitro's since no one does Electric 1/8 buggys around here.
How do I program my ESC?

all you'll need for set-up is a camber gauge and a Ride height gauge and you'll be good to go.
When you plug in the Hotwire, DO NOT go to the latest firmware....stick to v 198

Losi makes a great set of tools for ride hieght and camber.

Get a good set of tools for wrenching as well.
I am not sure what factory team towers are and the car already comes with ti-nitrite shock shafts but the rest of it looks good. 5S will be really fast but if you gear it down a bunch you should still get good speed and long runtimes.

That is intersting. Maybe you need to go back to the proline but again this is the first if have heard of issues with the losi body and cooling. You could cut some holes in the front of the body (verticle area by the steering link) to get more air in the body. The back is pretty open as it is.

i am going to put some vent holes on the side with the motor and bend the body way from the chassis in the back. have u guys seen the slip stream bodys from pro-line??

I have run the Jconcepts body and the Proline Slipstream and like them both. They both offer good air flow. I like the Slipstream a little better because it has ALOT of room under it. I have went away from fans for my electronics and started making "scoops" inside my bodies to cool my electronics down. I run a Mamba Max
with a 2250kv motor and it runs about 150ish max with no fan.
