I am happy to report that I was able to run the 20 minute main no problem. All stock losi setup, even Losi lipo. I like the car but it feels a little unstable and the rear likes to kick up.

I was having the same problem. Try the stock 25wt with silver springs in the rear or 32.5-35 with greens. If you have a fairly tame track the silvers with 32.5-35. Hope this helps........

Maby it was the 6" high speed bumps after the kicker jump! I liked you clearing it. When I did it my Deans conector came undone.... I'm thinking of doing what we talked about 1000w in the rear! That's what I used also Rene to help with the back end being loose when aplying power on exit of a turn.
The back end kicking up was the dam track.... speed bump heaven.

Yeah clearing that was fun. Bart kept trying but couldnt clear it. That was with my EPA turned down too 75%.

When I got home I hooked the battery on the charger and it was at 14.8 volts. I couldnt see how many mah I used because my WIFE turned of the charger before I could see it.

Medium. Here's a video from last year. The lay out has changed now with more jumps. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QZnZzJSbSR8

Disclaimer- I was not driving in the video.

So how much punch did you have with the Losi lipo? I had one of the SMC cmax green wrap lipos...Not a big fan of the non hard case.. I am torn between the Losi and a Thunder Power, but not a fan of the 90 dollar difference in the two. Also has anyone tried a 1700 motor with the losi system yet?

I think the Losi pack has plenty of punch but Im probably going to try a Zippy pack next.

Im going to try a 5cell 5000mah zippy next. They are cheap and only weigh 20 grams more than the Losi battery.

I own all 3 brands of Lipos, and I can categorically say "stay away from the Losi lipos"
They are overpriced for what they are. The Thunder Power packs or Fantom Racing) packs are what you're after if you want hardcase 4s lipos.
SMC's are good but QA isn't quite as good as TP/Fantom. The TP cells are very tightly matched and have lots of punch.

Our track is bumpy and big jumps. Pretty much SX style track. I could try the silvers, but even the greens seem softer than I like. I'm guessing with the nitros you can run really soft and not notice all the chassis slapping because of the engine noise.

I quess that makes sense since I own a TP charger. I gave my Losi charger to a friend, so would not have a way to balance charge it. Are the Fantom's the same thing?

Fantom lipos like Losi's use the TP TAPS for balancing.

When did TP and Losi start to use the same balancing taps? I have a 2 cell losi and a 2 cell TP and they DO NOT have the same taps!
