Questions?? Smart Diffs?

It has been a little while since I have heard any feedback on the Losi Smart diffs. Are people liking them in the 8ight-E? Lemme know . . .

Guys what is the latest firmware for the Xcelorin? Does F.01.01.20 sound right? Also is their a way to limit the punch like the Mamba or just going with heavier diff oil? One last thing does everyones E make a cracking sound from the motor/drivetrain on initial throttle? Thanks again guys.

That is the latest firmware. Mine does the same... I was hoping to adjust the initial start power like the cast creations software but you cannot. I turned my EPA down and it seems to smooth it out a bit. I was thinking I would adjust the timing and gearing a tad and keep the EPA down. I will have my car ready to rock very soon and will get it all figured out and smoothed out. I had an idea to add some electronic components to softend the burst but I am not certain the ESC would be happy about it. We'll see...

Hi,

Can't wait for warpig to test this baby !

- Anyone of you could do some pictures photos of the car on all the angles ?
- I'm also quite interested with the size and weight of the original box (for shipping!)
- Can someone measure the size of the lipo tray (so I can find out what lipo would fit in it)
- First impressions ? Happy for the money spent ? worth it ?
- Is the bodyshell painted ?

Thanks !

Cédric

Try "EXPO" on your transmitter. That can "Soften" the acceleration to make it easier. Or... just don't squeeze the throttle so hard! I had to stand next to a guy the first time he drove his, and repeat... "slow down.... slow down.... slow down... you're gonna WHOOPS!... spotter!"

Thanks for the reply! I never played with the Expo, so could you fill me in on which way to go, + or -. Upon further review the cracking sound is the center diff engaging. Only had the car for a few hours last night and only drove it for about five minutes. On the pavement it pulls the front tires right up. I will play with it today for awhile though. One last thing is there an aluminium front chassis brace for this thing? I ordered one but it seems to be for the 1.0 as the y brace is not curved to fit the front. The back one fits fine. Thanks again.....

Maybe on the nitro they are. But on the E they are not. I will post some pics when my battery for my camera is charged. The New E-2.0 front brace is angled were the old one is straight. Stay tuned.........

I have the Nitro 1.0 kit that I used to convert to brushless--that front brace is angled. Seems like many people like these aluminum chassis brace. Will they work well with the new 2.0 Flex-tuned chassis?

Took it out for a second go round and broke the pinion around the set screw Good thing they supply a 16t as well. Put that on, played with the expo and epa for about ten minutes or so. Seems pretty good, maybe alittle soft on the springs but we will see on the track. Integra, I will try and see what happens. Thanks again..........
