ya run that plastic spacer. I too was having the same issue until I put it on. It works. Here is a link to it.

hey Speed Freak....I ground down my pinion to allow the set screw to sit a little further out on the pinion....just shim accordingly and tighten it down.

Is your motor hitting the chassis also? I know it aint the motor mount flexing because I can hold the car and almost get the chassis to hit the motor by flexing it. I can almost get the rear driveshaft to pop out.

Just got back from OCRC tonight, saw one Losi 8ight. Now I want one even more! I've never seen one in person before until tonight, and they are ungodly fast! Also saw some familiar buggies at OCRC that have been posted on here as well.
Does anyone know what the pricing will be on the 8ight-E 2.0?

It works pretty well...now if I could only drive it. 
I'm going to get a slower motor. Maybe a 1300.I guess I'm doing OK considering that it's only my 2nd time racing with it. I'll be there Sunday again...introduce yourself. Mine is the green/black one with yellow wheels...if we have time, I'll let you drive it.
