Can be found by clicking the "Rules" link in the top menu.

Approved Brushed Motors Link - http://www.roarracing.org/approvals/smotor.php
Oddly enough, can be found under the "Approvals" link.
Yeah thanks captain obvious. I guess you somehow mis-understood my question for i have obvioulsy looked at their site and could not find anything about 2009 ROAR rules hence my question about the official 2009 ROAR rule for SS. And now my question will prolly never get anymore attention since you added a url so everyone else prolly assumed you found it Thanks alot. im just teasing man.

As stated in the rules.. Super Stock in 2009 will be 13.5 Brushless only.

But.... the 2009 rules will NOT be finalized and posted until after the fall meeting of the Executive Committee.

We are working on a skill based system rather than a motor wind based system... so things might change significantly anyway. Please be patient... the meeting is in November and the rules will be updated with plenty of time for people to make a conversion in equipment if necessary (which, hopefully won't be.. all equipment should be fine...) and in understanding process.

Even the Castle Motor sponsored drivers who insist I have bad information will be happy....

Ah, you let the cat out of the bag with that post.

A lot of series are baseing this year on ROAR 09 motor rules, the carpet and offroad series carry into next year. Seems harsh to change rules that people follow halfway thru a series.
I think a major rules change should be given a one year warning period.

"yes, the Castle motors are a slotless design, which are 1) easier for a sensorless controller to drive, 2) provide two to four times the power of a ROAR style motor."

Though true, castle does not make a "stock" or "spec" motor. We know a trinity brushed 13 turn motor could make more power than a 13 turn orion, but for open mod.....it doesn't provide any advantage.
So incorrect.

"Castle Motors are of a slotless design, they are not rebuildable and their rotor dimensions are WAY outside of ROAR specs, which is a HUGE advantage over ROAR approved motors. Castle's been free to manufacture ROAR style motors from day one, BUT - their ESCs cannot run them accurately enough to be acceptable to the racers..... so I'm instructed."

Though I cannot comment on the motor size rules, the motor fits great in my 10th scale buggy/truck/4wd. Castle ESC's are so advanced they can run a sensored motor without the sensors connected. So, incorrect.

"Once the style of motor is allowed, you must understand, there is no way to control the power. Your looking for all of racing to become 100% motor dependent.. much like oval racing.. therefore, your asking for the slow death of RC racing because now costs have gone way overboard."

I think everyone will agree in open mod off-road having the most power is never an advantage. With a Sidewinder system at $159, that seems pretty cheap to me. So again.....incorrect.

Sorry, had to say it.
Sorry, but if you dont like roar just take your sheet and race somewhere else

And David yet again... you seem to thrive on DRAMA so you are the center of attention. You choose to post quotes of mine and respond with irrelevant answers.........

Whatever you want to think and say and do... I will not dispute you nor battle you. Your keyboard balls are so much larger than mine.

Facts are this: Castle Creations has not built a motor that follows ROAR specs. Castle Creations only now is involved in the process to make changes to the rules. You chose to purchase a motor knowing full well its not ROAR legal and then you proceeded to trash an event that was pushed for in your region because the motor you have and you know isn't legal can't be used.

So.... I created an opening for you to run that motor......

yet, you still have to show the attitude your famous for......
