To a point. A tamiya like my sons is great to learn how to turn and start and stop, but it is a big step to go to a "Pro" car and learn how to get around a race track fast.

As I said before, I am SURE the set-up of the car is far more important than the car itself. And THAT is why the driver makes the car

Isn't it amazing what moving a shim or two can do to a car? That is probably a .030 shim you moved to shorten the wheelbase and it makes that much of a differance. All these years of racing and I'm still can't believe what one shim can do to the handling of a car.
