Arrow 4WD Electric Slash--Not Slayer!!

I am thinking about taking the drivetrain and electronics out of an old E-Maxx 14.4v and dropping them in my new Slash, with a few adjustments to the driveshafts, of course.

Does anybody have any suggestions?

The 4WD Slash WILL live.

Why not just convert a Slayer to electric by using a conversion kit meant for the Traxxas Revo. There is already an electric slayer running around here.

What would be the advantage of doing a Slayer-Electric conversion over getting the slash? Are the Slayers more durable and rugged then the Slash?

The Slayer is a Revo with shorter arms.

I am looking for cost effectiveness here. I got the E-Maxx from a friend for $20, and it is almost new condition. So I dont think it would be too difficult.
