Default Losi XXX-T Installing Transmission Help?

I have a xxx-t mf2 and I had my truck unassembled for a while. I am leaving friday to go to the track saturday and snday but when I went to install my transmission it seemed like it "didnt fit" in the T Plate. 1st I noticed that the hump on the bottom that sticks out of the T plate wasnt completely in and I couldnt push it or do anything to push it in. Then I noticed that the hole where the tranny hooks up to the rear shock tower didnt fit probably because of the tranny not fitting. Somehow I got it straight and I pushed it in and I got the screw in, but the outdrives were rubbing againt the hinge pin soo much that I couldnt even move the outdrive!!! I loosened all the screws that hook the tranny up and I could barely move the outdrive. The outdrive is like pushing against the hinge pin. So what is my problem here? sorry for another question but I am going to my 1st race and want everything to be installed properly.

Do you have the motor guard directly under the rear of the tranny? Than the pivot plate. The only way I can see the out-drive rubbing is if you somehow bolted the tranny directly to the pivot plate. You said it was a tough fit???

No, I have the Gen 2 tranny and the motor guard is under the rear pivot plate. So it goes from the bottom, t plate, motor guard, pivot plate. On the gen 2 diff you cant bolt it to the pivot plate. It was hard to get the bottom of the tranny into the hole where it usually fits in easy.
