No info on 5mm but i'm guessing they are smart and went with the standard.

And the 1700 at 5S would be very powerfull in the buggy or truggy.

the 2100 is more suited to 4s.

Hope they are 5mm, that would be smarter considering most Mod 1 gears are 5mm and also stronger. Since the motors are 4-pole than the esc should be able to handle neu motors

Losi now have the info posted on their new 8ight-e body

The 8IGHT-E Clear Body is designed to accommodate the conversion hardware, battery and electronics needed to convert a nitro buggy into an electric buggy. The body features vents to aid in cooling of the motor, battery and ESC. The durable 0.040" Lexan construction will withstand the rigors of 1/8-scale buggy racing. Decals and window masks are included for easy customization.

Losi's 1/8 8IGHT-E Buggy Body will work with the chassis of the 8IGHT Buggy Kit (LOSK0800), 8IGHT Buggy Race Roller (LOSA0801) and the 8IGHT Buggy RTR (LOSB0081).

Not to sure if this means the body is taller or just vents were put in were the esc & motor go to help cooling and more room.

On my first conversion i took a brand new losi chassis and pounded it with a hammer to make it flat on the side where i mounted my battery tray so that it would be flat.I used a rc monster battery tray which is actually heavy compared to the tekno battery tray.If you are looking for the trick set up the tekno kit is the way to go.For 179.00 you get a new chassis the trick motor mount the clutch system.the option of adjusting your front and rear brakes seperately.I know a lot of people think its just that much more to go wrong but i havent had any issues and the car is awesome to drive. Just my opinion.

Thanks rocket. Not that any other conversions are bad but if losi makes one it gives you a warm comfortable feeling it will be right R&D

Are sales REp from Horizon Called the us today at the shop.About the 8ightE.They are Making a one time run of the Buggy in a race roller form that comes with there esc and motor minus servo's and radio. They are very limited on how many are being made and sold this way.For example are sales rep deals with 51 shops and see had 3 buggys that see could sell.Lucky enough we were one of the shops that had the chance to get one. After they are gone everybody else will have to do the conversion. Not sure why they went this route.I would think they could sell them as race roller all day long.

Oh by the way i said yes to getting one(I wanted all three) i plan on running it this winter.Indoor

Seems nuts to me that they would do a limited run that small. Why limit it at all? I would think they could sell them all day long.

Did they say why they are limiting it? Why bother making it at all if you are just going to tease everyone with it? Am I crazy here or just missing something?

They are doing a limited run so they can find out where to make the improvements for the REAL production version...

...just a guess.

I doubt it, the can diameter will be to large and won't line up
