Looking for a link to the hyperion manual.

Also can you use any charger. Some are listed as "use with", I would think I could charge through it if I just put the proper leads on.

I use a "blinky balancer" as it is 24 bucks and can be easily used with any cell out there on the market. Also it does not take up any room , it is smaller then a credit card, works great for me.

I got a $12 Esky li-ion/lipoly 2-3 cell charger/balancer off ebay and if you are running 7.4 or 11.1 volts the little thing works perfect. You do have to provide your own power supply and output connections, 3 wire servo connectors work for 7.4v 2 cell applications, and I found some goofy four plug connectors out of a salvaged cd player that worked for 3 cell 11.1v. Most factory lipos already have these connectors on them, but if you are building a pack you'll have to incorporate them in properly.

Not the same as the checkpointas the checkpoint can only balance 1c and 2c lipos and the checkpoint balancer comes with the bullet connectors to charge lipos like the checkpoint , orion , and trackpower packs . Also is only a few $ more . The balancer you mention can do up to 5c .
