Have you checked the rear wheels to see if you have a broken hub, cross pin, or the like. When one wheel grabs and the other slips, the truck will turn in circles.

Running seven cells you may have damaged the internals in your transmission. It should be inspected to determine if you have anything wrong there. It sounds like the battery is not charging correctly and false peaking is usually a sign of that. Have your local hobby shop put a volt meter on the batt and also get a temp guage and see if it is over heating. If it has been overheated, it may be damaged and not produce power again as it did in the past.

Did you check to see if it was set for a 3 cell lipo ? If it is the voltage is too low seen it happen with a slash last week .

VXL's have all metal transmissions and are built to handle 3s power, so 7 cells isn't gonna be very straining on it. Its highly doubtful that the cause of his problems are in his transmission
