Default Bearing Tool?

I am replacing my bearings and I got the bearing in the endbell out really easy and I got the new bearing in really easy. It took a hammer and a long allen wrench to get the bearing out of the can. But now I cant put the new bearing into the can!!! My allen wrench gets magnetized onto the magnets on the can and the bearing does the same thing too. I cant get it lined up and straight to where it should be. What can I use to get it in there? thanks

Heat up the metal housing that the bearing will go in to so it will expand...but not too hot to damage the magnets!

Also you can put the bearing in the freezer to make it shrink a bit.

Then use an aluminum, plastic or wood dowel to push in the bearing.

What should I heat it up with?

it sounds kinda weird but il try it. Is there any risk of putting the bearing in the freezer? I have a dowel.

I recommend not do that . Get one of items I told you and will fit right in .

You live in So Cal so just put it in the sun!!

As for the freezer, just put the bearing in a zip lock bag and throw it in the freezer, the oil will not freeze.

As Briguy said, proper tools are highly recommended.
