Sorry for the slow reply, I am not 100% sure, and am not sure how big citrus heights is. If I remember correctly, it is near a bowling alley, a freeway entrance, a Dairy Queen, and an Autozone. I will ask my aunt what her major cross streets are and zip code. I would appreciate that though.

I "think" I know where that is.

getting to the track should not be too bad, maybe 20-25 minuets.

Attention racers (especially the out of towners), Get your entry(s) in soon as the assigned pit table space is almost already filled. Check it out. http://www.capitalrc.com/rcracing/pitlayout.html

That sounds like Auburn Blvd. and Hwy 80 to me. That is 16 miles from the track according to google maps.

BTW, I saw the pictures of the track on the website and it is beautiful...hopefully the layout stays the same at least until Dec.

trdsupra88, Not sure what pictures you are talking about. I haven't seen an updated picture on the Cap web site for almost a year. The layout will change in a bout two to three weeks, a couple weeks before the Classic(from what I was told). If you'd like to see the layout as it is now, check out Youtube. I know there are a handful of videos of the current layout. They try to change it up about every 3 to 4 months, so whatever the layout will be when you're here, is should be fun.

Hi everyone,

Here is a video I took of the curent layout. The track is huge for an indoor offroad track, (60 x 100+ feet). Lap times are in the 25-27 sec range. The track is very fun and challenging for all levels.

The 2008 Cap City Classic Layout will go in on Sunday 9/28/08 and be ready for practice probably be 9/30/08. Monday is closed. Tuesdays after a track change involve alot of fine tuning of the new layout but should be open for practice by late morning / early afternoon. I do not work for Cap City and I am not really trying to be a spokesperson for them, (just helping out), but I do know how the program has been run over the last 3 years. I will be helping out Sunday and Monday with the new layout, it would be nice to have some extra bodies so the track can go in quickly and get the attention it needs for such a great race. cya!

I was at Capital City a few months ago and this Track and Shop really has a lot of potential... especially in the Winter time. It has steadily improved its facilities over the years and with NorCal so limited in Indoor Off-Road Tracks more can be done to expose it plus make its core Racing base grow.

Capital City's Management Team should really take full advantage of their situation.... Yes, it will definitely require more expenses to kick start but if Capital City can develop a reputation for hosting Big Time Races it will only help itself in the long run. Its definitely key to get the the Pro and Factory Drivers to come out and join (especially all the great SoCal Racers) for a good long weekend of Racing and exposure on the web and in magazines! From what I have seen the The Track and Shop haven't reached its full potential yet and I really hope they maximize the value of their entire facility....
