Default A123s Packs made for RC Cars, anyone try?

Has anyone tried these A123 packs:

Low mah I know, but from what I have been able to find out about A123, they seem to run longer than the mah would let you believe, and can be recharged in as little as 15 minutes, and have no fire issues. Remember seeing these in an IFS TA05 and they fit perfect. I am thinking that maybe these would be good for 5 minute runs?

Thoughts and experiences?

Here are the specs:

6.6V 2200mAh
30C (66.0A) cont
60C (132.0A) burst
136mm x 45mm x 22mm
190 grams

I use a A123 2S/2P (6.6V/4600mAh) sadle pack in my B44. Runs the car about 20 too 22 minutes at race pace & will recharge to 95% in less than 15 mins. I also Use A123 5S (16.5V/2300mAh) in my E-MBX5. They will run the buggy with a Medusa 36-60-2000 for 5 too 6 minutes & charge to 95% in about 10 minutes. These packs were hand built but the same cells that are in the pack you show. They wont puff or burn. A cell in one of my packs has a dent in it & still works fine. They are heavier than lipo but for my B44 the lipo pack I have is really to light for the car. Down side, short run time for 1/8th conversions & you need a A123 ready charger.

I use A-123's in all my cars, 2s2p 2300mah in my B44 with run times in the 26-28 minute range, Traxxas Slash with the same 2s2p config and 30 minute runs and lastly my AE RC18R which I use the 1100mah flavor 123's in a 2s1p setup and that gives me 15 minute runs. I also use them in planes and heli's to, I still use lipo in a few very light weight planes but 99.9% of all my electric toys are powered by A-123........BB

I also use 2S 6.6V A123 1100mAh packs for my RC18.

I get them from www.rclipos.com.

For mod tc & buggy I would go w/ atleast a 3kmah a123 setup. However, those packs would be perfect for any other mod class. When I run a 2s 1p 2300 pack w/ a mamba 7700 they get a little warm, but they are ice cold if I put two in paralel to make a 4600 pack. You should be able to make a 2s 3p pack fit in just about any car w/ a little modding of the battery strap.

There is actually already a decent size thread about these cells in this forum too.
