Are these buggies knock offs?
I saw these two buggies that are chinese made and was wondering if they are clones of other buggies on the market. They both look identical to cars I have seen before.

Wow, the junk companies are expanding into electric. Electric really is making a comeback!
That second one looks like a rc18t knock off even though it says 1/10 scale.

I thought the same thing about the second car, looks like an 18t to me also.I was doing some research and basically they are making exact copies of some of the popular cars on the market from associated, kyosho, hot bodies etc. They are carbon copies just with a different name and relabled electronics. They even stated that the parts for the vehicle they have duplicated are a direct fit for theirs.Isn't that grounds for a lawsuit?

High quality transmitter my butt. It looks like a controller you would find on an r/c car from Radio Shack. And it's AM. How is that high quality?

Looks like a:
ZX-5/SBV2/Losi XXX-4 (just the battery strap) knock off...
Might be a great basher if you play with RC cars on the street, but other then that, expect low quality alloys and terrible workmanship...
Alloys and even carbon fibers from China are usually of low quality... It's a rare occasion when good quality material is used on their RC products...
XTM is Japanese I thought... I wouldn't buy one but I say XTM is a higher quality product then Duratrash...
In my experience, the RC products from Japan and the US are usually of high quality. There are a few from Euro (like Schumacher) and Taiwan (Thunder Tiger, you know, the owner of AE )that are of high quality also, but I don't have much faith in quality for RC platforms that comes elsewhere...

This crap brings our hobby down.
It is uneducated parents that buy these things only seeing $$$. Within a day after giving it to their kids it is broken and then off to the lhs.
I have seen so many of the nitro crap bought on ebay come into the shop only to tell these unfortunate and angry parents that they bought something with little to no support and we cannot get parts for them.
They say that if they had known what they were getting themselves into they just would have bought a mainstream vehicle to begin with.
I have also seen alot of knock off tmaxxs and lst. They look similar but have no parts compatibility.
