Default JR Tx Rx Questions

I have an old JR Racing XR2 Tx and a R125 Rx. It looks like the wire on the Rx has been cut. How can I verify how long the wire should be? Also, if I need to pick up a new Rx, what should I be looking for? The crystals in it right now are channel 5 - 27.195. If I need a new Rx, do I need to get one in the 27 range, or just anything that says AM on it?

Also, it says on the Tx "2 model memory". I'm assuming I would still need to change out the crystals, and it just remembers the setting for each one? Thanks for any light you can shed on the subject for me!

So I just gave my old XR3 a quick look and measure.. the stock antenae wire is 14 inches. You can probably swap out that wire with just a bit of soldering skills.

As for the memory, you're correct, or you can pick up a second receiver crystal on the same channel and not have to worry about swapping crystals at all.

Well Duh! That never even occured to me! But obviously I'll never be running both trucks at the same time, so it makes perfect sense. Thanks for pointing it out to me.

As for the receiver wire, I measured and it looks like it may not have been cut after all. It's 14" so maybe the end is just frayed. I guess I'll just put it in my car and do a range test. I appreciare all the help!
