I have the ICE and the Pulsar and I like the ICE because it can charge lipos but I like the Pulsar because it is so simple to use.

Can someone tell me what settings I should have on an Orion 4200 SHO 'EU'?

Is it ok to charge at 6.5 amps? Sorry 'bout borrowing your thread, BSS07.

I actually ordered an Ice last night.. I COULD have bought a Checkpoint, Much More or whatever, but I bought an Ice for the only reason that it's available at my LHS which makes it far more easier if it gets messed up.. you know, warranty and stuff.

Charge a 4200 at 4.2 amps unless you are just looking for trouble.

I think he is referring to a Nimh pack, not lipo. Unless they just came out with something I have not seen yet.

4 or 5 amps? That sounds a bit cheezy. How about this:

Batt type NiMH
Batt volts 5cell
Capacity mAh 4200
Chg current 6.0A
Dsch current 10A
Peak sensitivity 3mV/C
Dsch cutoff 1V/C
Trickle mA 150mA
Cutoff temp (F) 116
# of cycles 1
Cycle delay 20 min
Cycle mode D > C
Max. chg cap. 150%
Peak delay 5min
Top off charge 500mA

I have a THUNDER POWER TP-610-C Charger and i have a SMC 5000mah lipo a PROTEK 4000mah lipo and a YEAH RACING 4000mah lipo and i charge everyone of them at 7amp. and have been doing this for MANY MANY charges and have not had one problem no swelling and batteries have NEVER got hot and they all hold great charge like new. Who ever is having so many problems with lipos is because they are getting them WAY to hot and charging hot or they have been charged at like 10 to 15amp. Lipos are not as bad as everyone talks them up to be as long as you follow simple rules and the best one is NEVER CHARGE WHEN LIPO IS HOT!!
