I remember the original Kyosho Ultima had an aluminum chassis that was narrow with side walls. Everyone had problems with the chassis getting tweaked. Trinity made a carbon fiber replacement and Joel Johnson used it to win the Worlds in 1987. I guess time will tell if this is a good idea.

This is exactly what i was thinking. Jumping the buggy would surely tweak the aluminum chassis. I don't under stand why they did this sort of design.. Why ?

Thats a good point... Do nitro chassis's's ever get tweaked? I know theyre thicker, but the cars weigh a lot more too. Surely they have planned for this and reinforced the proper areas. I doubt HB's first attempt at a 2wd would be that ill thought out.
