Default Need some help

Ok guys and gals.I looking to do a electric conversion on my truggy. After the last couple of races and the problems i have had with my motors.(blow up 2 in one day)I have had enough. So iam thinking of building a truggy that can keep up with the nirto truggies.I looking for something that can handle the power.the abuse of a 45min main,if that is possible.Any info would be great sites to go to anything.Money is really not a issue.I am looking for the best stuff.

Well Ricky Bobby, anything and everything you can ever need answered can be done in the 1/8 scale electric conversion thread HERE. Since money is no object, build my dream truggy...
Start with a Losi 8ight-T and a Monster Max with THIS motor and the rest is up to you. I wish I would have thought of that nickname.

Talk to Dan @ rc product designs.com. And spend the time reading the electric conversion thread here on rc tech. Time spent will be money save! Good luck, be blessed!

You won't be able to get 45 minutes out of an electric unless you make a pit stop for a battery change at least once. Well I supposed theoretically you could stack enough batteries in parallel in to make it possible but the weight would kill you.

Also I'd watch the gearing to keep the setup cool for that long - are you really going to run 45 minute mains?

NO!!! The NEU or the Medusa are junk. The Novaks work just fine.

Neither Neu, Medusa, nor Novak are junk. All perform differently in different set ups. I run Novak but the jury is still out on long runs (over 10 minutes). Neu and Medusa have good reputations and many are being used successfully. Some run 4S, 5S, even 6S, low KV, high KV, single large batts, double smaller batts; all work but differently. How you race, where, and what type of racing will dictate many decisions you make. The 1/8 Conversion Forum is full of useful information. Good luck. I love my Hyper 7 Novak 6.5 conversion and I don't have the newest HV ESC as it is just being released.

Yes my plan is to build something that can go a 45min main,It looks like i will have to do batt swap to get through the 45 min not a big deal.

I do have a ? i have found the conversion i want to try the tekno conversion for the 8ight-t.But iam not sure witch one it ask for a 36 or 44mm.what does that mean?

I have been reading the 1/8 scale thread on page 12 a lot of info there.

I believe that refers to the size of the motor you intend on using. Medusa I know has a smaller can. You need to see the size of the motor you are thinking about and see if it matches one of those specs. The holes in the motor mount would be different depending on the motor size.
