there was some talk about this on the Oople site (Tamiya forum) - that the body is form either another Tamiya car or from a yet unseen shaft drive prototype.

It's the Tamiya Baldre body & under tray on the 501X, much nicer than the stock 501X body IMO. If you go to oople.com and read one of the summaries of the first day of the 4WD Championships, it's mentioned there.

It's made by Team-Azarashi (I think I copied that right). They make some interesting stuff. Wings and bodies.
