And make sure you balance it as it charges. I've accidentally put lipo under the rated min. One cell were fine, one was a little lower and one was really low. I got all cells back, but I had to balance as I charged. Without balancing, that's a very easy way to overcharge a cell.

You should be watching it, not posting on the internet! Make sure you have a fire extinguisher handy.

im soo confused with lipo.......

if i charged it up to its full charge.....run it for like half a pack....then put it back on the charger, why does it still charge up to a full charge? i would think it would charge up to about half. where is all the Mah going to?

It shouldn't. If it is a 4800 and you do one run on it, it should only take about 1100mah or so.

im talking about the trinity 4500's. when i ran it the last time i only probaly ran it for 10 min. when i put it on the charger it charged to the full 4500 but when the voltage level becomes 8.4, there's a beep but its not the finish melody

I noticed that with LiPo chargers (or multi-battery chargers with a LiPo setting, like my Orion Advantage) they go full amps up to a certain point, and then the amps they deliver starts to gradually drop as the battery gets closer to capacity, until it's just trickling in. I imagine it's like filling a water jug - you open the water tap all the way till it gets closer to the top, and then you start to gradually slow down the water supply until it's full. I also have an add-on balancer with my LiPo battery to make sure the cells are getting equal amounts of juice.

In reading online, LiPo just requires a lot more care and attention than other battery types...I sure would never buy one used, knowing what I know about their volatility. I even keep mine stored inside the LiPo sack, just in case
