Default new pede motor? what to get?

hey everyone! I have a pede in need of a new motor and I can't afford brushless at the moment. I would like some more power as well. the esc is an xl-5. does anyone have a recommendation? thanx

That XL-5 should handle down to 12T motors, but I'd probably stay in the 14T-15T range to keep it from getting too hot. If you're on a tight budget, I've had liked the Reedy Flash motors; they're decent machine wound doubles for around $35.
If you can afford it go for one of the newer low-maintenance motors with the aluminum fins and round brushes. Something like a Checkpoint would work well or Fantom, Trinity Cobalt etc.

The XL5 can handle down to a 15T 540 motor or 12T 550 Motor. What is your budget? Team Orion make some good motors at a good price.

I would go with a Checkpoint.
If you're strapped for cash buy a Reedy.

I can spend $50. wich will be the best in that price point. I want more power than the TITAN that came with it. thanx for the advice.
